Browning Auto-5 16 gauge

Browning 16ga made by NATIONALE D’ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE

Manufactured by Browning in 1926 at the FN facility in Herstal, Belgium; this 16ga shows the signs of how treasured these shotguns were. The hands that smoothed the checkering of this historic version cherished it as a go to for  many years. While it may look old and used, don’t discount this reliable shotgun or you will find yourself lacking for sure. While the poly choke was an addition during the 60’s or 70’s to add versatility, it detracts from the value for most collectors. This particular shotgun has only had a few owners, and we acquired it when our neighbors husband passed away. Still fully functional using bismuth or other softer metal shot, this gun is absolutely remarkable with incomparable reliability. An amazing piece of Browning History that I wouldn’t feel bad taking to the field even though it is 94 years old.
